← HOMETHE EVIDENCE
STANDARD.
Every number needs a source, a date, a definition and a clear account of what is missing.
Preserve the record behind the headline
Keep source URLs, supporting passages, evidence dates, observation periods and original values attached to each substantive claim.
Unknown is not zero
Distinguish undisclosed capacity, excluded records, no records found and confirmed absence. A partial documented sum is not a country total.
Separate fact, estimate and target
Keep operating capacity apart from future projects. Label targets and forecasts with their publisher, date, scenario and assumptions.
Compare like with like
Keep units, reference periods, technology boundaries and process stages consistent. Avoid adding overlapping sites, phases and company aggregates.
Publish qualifications with the numbers
Preserve lower bounds, ranges and uncertainty in exports and charts. Unverified quantities are excluded from public totals.
State the comparison boundary
Each view identifies its period, geography, technology and measurement scope. Selected observations are not a complete industry census. Recorded affiliations, factory locations and company headquarters answer different questions.
